How do I sell my phone to CashMyFone?

Find your phone through our search function by typing in your mobile make and model number. We’ll tell you how much we will pay you for it. Next send us your details and your preferred method of payment. We can either pay you by cheque or by BACS transfer. If you choose cheque, you’ll receive your money within 48 hours of us receiving your phone & if you opt for BACS transfer the turnaround will be 24 hours. Our offer is only valid for seven days so please send your phone to us as soon as possible.

How can I send my phone?

There are two ways you can mail it to us. Either send us your mobile in your own envelope on our free post address or by special delivery. Our advice is sending it by special delivery through the post office, which insures it against loss of up to a value of £500.

What happens when you receive my phone?

As soon as we receive your phone, we’ll email you to tell you that we’ve received and test it to make sure it’s working properly. Once we’ve tested it, you’ll then receive a second email telling you that we’re sending you a cheque or making you a BACS payment depending on which payment method you opted for.

If your phone has a fault and you have sent it to us as a working handset, we’ll email you to let you know of the revised price. If you’d prefer, we can send the phone back to you free of charge.

What happens if my phone doesn’t work, but I sent it to you as a working handset?

If you class a phone as ‘working’ but we find it to be faulty when we test it, we will tell you the fault we’ve found and offer a revised price by email. You then have seven days to request a re-test or decline our offer by email. You can request that we send your phone back to you for free. If you do not reply within seven days, we will process your order at the revised price and send you a cheque.

Will you buy non-working phones?

Yes we buy all phones in any condition if they are listed on the website. However we do not buy parts.

How many mobile phones can I recycle at one time?

You can send us three in one order. However, if you are a business who wants to send more than 10 in one go, please contact us on 0208 090 2548, 0208 543 3119. 

Which parts of my phone should I include when I send my handset to you?

You just have to send us your mobile phone and the battery. You can also send us all the accessories, chargers, manuals and packaging if you still have them, which we can then recycle however this does not increase the price of the handset.

You should remove your SIM and data before sending your phone to us.

How do you recycle my phone?

If your phone works we will send it to developing countries to be used there. It means everyone throughout the world can have access to mobile phone technology. It’s also friendly to the environment because the phone is not thrown away. If a mobile is not in good working order we are often able to extract working components which can then be recycled.

What happens if my phone gets lost in the post?

We advise you to send your phone to us by special delivery at the post office which insures it against a loss up to a value of £500. That way if your phone does go missing you will be able to claim insurance.
